Americans watched in horror as cable news networks showed live footage of the events at Fort Hood, Texas, earlier this week. An attack on soldiers killed at least 12 and injured at least 30. The saddest part was the fact that the gunman was also a member of the U.S. Army. As Americans, we stand behind our military and our country, standing united as one, so when one member of our military is attacked, we are all attacked, as well. For those of us who have relatives who fought for freedom in the military over the years, the pain of this tragedy is even greater. Our thoughts and prayers are with those at Fort Hood, and may God bless you as you try to rebuild your lives after dealing with this tragic event. God bless our military men and women fighting for freedom, and God bless America.
NOTE: Please continue to fly the flag at half-staff this week in honor of those who died in Fort Hood.
