Billy Mayes, who passed away on Sunday of this week, was well-known as a celebrity advertising guru. From describing the benefits of Kaboom at cleaning a restroom to explaining how a little Oxy Clean can make a load of laundry cleaner, Mayes always demonstrated the positive benefits of a product in an honest, straightforward way. His new Discovery Channel series, PITCHMEN, was really innovative and was on a path to become Discovery Channel’s best — and most watched — series. Mayes will be missed by all who watch infomercials — no one will ever be able to duplicate his style. He was truly the advertising guru of our generation. May God bless his family as they go through this sad time of tragedy.
